Getting an AQP CSCS Card

Holders of an academic qualification may be able to apply for an AQP card. This card is available to all individuals who have completed construction related HNDs, HNCs, CIOB Certificates, NEBOSH diplomas, and other related degrees. This makes them eligible for an AQP card on the basis of their educational qualification.

Candidates applying for this card will be required to provide a copy of their qualification certificates and, if possible, also submit evidence of the units achieved within the test.

However, all applicants for the AQP card must be able to pass the CITB Managers and Professionals Health, Safety and Environment Test within the given period. The validity of the card is for 5 years, post which it can be extended as per the prevailing terms and conditions.

Application for this card can be submitted via phone.Call 02071999800 to provide your details. You will also have to email the evidence of your academic qualifications to constructionhelpline.com before you call the number mentioned above.

Acquiring a PQP CSCS Card

This card is available to all individuals who have been assessed for their abilities by CSCS approved professional bodies. However, all applicants are required to pass the CITB managers and Professionals Health, Safety and Environment Test.

The validity of this card lasts for 5 years, post which it may be renewed as per prevailing regulations.

To proceed with the application for this test, applicants will need to submit evidence of their membership in a professional body by providing any one of the following documents. Note that these must be before expiry date with below-stated details mentioned on it.

  • A certificate of membership
  • A card of membership, printed on both sides
  • A copy of the latest letter or email received from the professional body.

Applicants may submit renewal applications only after providing proof of current membership, like emails or letters, in the organization.This allows the authorities to authenticate the membership claim.

Experienced Technical Supervisor or Manager

Only available to technical supervisors and managers with relevant job experience, to gain this card, you must fulfill the following conditions:

  • You need at least one year experience in last 3 years.
  • You should not have been a member of an approved professional body.
  • You should not have achieved a construction related SVQ or NVQ in the levels 3, 4 and 5.
  • You should not have achieved a construction related QCF NVQ Level 6 or 7 as well.

The validity of the card only lasts for 3 years and cannot be renewed again. It is only meant as a temporary measure, while the individual gains his Level 3 or higher SVQ or NVQ that lasts 5 years.

All applicants must pass the CITB HS&E tests within two years of issue of this card. Everyone must take only those occupational tests relevant to their occupations.

The following details must be submitted as proof of registration upon qualifying their tests. They are:

  • Applicant’s Name
  • Details of the Qualification
  • Date of registration
